A Norman phrase tells that « In Granville, it is sunny several times a day ». Indeed, the sea wind blows clouds away. However, some rain drops can fall too. This is the opportunity to visit museum and places to relax in la Manche.
Memory museums and places of the D-Day landing in Normandy.
Lez-Eaux campsite is located between Brittany and Normandy : two regions of character which have a rich historical and cultural heritage. The Cotentin is a memory place of the D-Day landing in Normandy. During your stay in Utah Beach, many museums and memory places are along the roads of the Norman countryside. Among them : the Memorial de la liberté retrouvée in Quinéville, the Airborne museum in Sainte mère Eglise, the D-Day museum and the landing museum in Utah Beach. Then drive to Omaha beach and Juno beach, and let’s stop in Arromanches at the circular cinema and the Overlord museum. Do not hesitate to go to the Memorial in Caen, one hour from the campsite.
Inside visits and museum in family with children
The aquarium and the submarine Le Redoutable well worth a visit in La Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg.
In Saint Malo you can visit the Great Aquarium.
Do not hesitate to take your kids and teenagers to the planetarium Ludiver in Granville, they will be happy to discover the shellfish collection of the Roc des Harmonies, and the goats in the Chèvre qui rit farm.
To know everything about the sea environment, you can go to the Museum of the Sea and Ecology in the Mount Saint Michael or to the Ecomusée of the bay.

Stop by the watermill Marie Ravenel in Réthoville, the windmill of Cotentin or the Tocqueville castel. You must also visit the famous Fonderie des Cloches (bell foundry) in Villedieu les poêles which has recently molded the new bells for Notre dame de Paris.
The Manche provides some wonderful religious buildings : the Cathedral of Coutances, the Pipe Organ of Notre Dame of Carentan, Notre Dame Church in Saint Lo.

For family leisure times, we can inform about cinema programs in Granville, Avranches, Villedieu les Poêles and Coutances and also about the Theater l’Archipel program.
With teenagers, we suggest you the ice rink in Coutances, the bowling in Avranches or Event Park where you can play paintball, karting … Recently open Raptor Park is also an indoor park.
Younger children will have a lot of fun at Royal Kids, an indoor game park situated a few minutes away from the campsite.
